The junior will buy six patented mining claims within the property boundary of its large Minnitaki gold project. The claims cover the western extension of the Wedge gold occurrence on the Triex property.
Triex’s 1998 work program at Minnitaki returned anomalous gold values from sheared, altered mafic volcanics and quartz feldspar porphyry over a strike length of 150 metres and a width of 10 metres.
The highest grab sample from the shear system returned a grade of 20.6 grams gold per tonne, while the average value from 18 samples was 1.72 grams. This occurrence and its extensions have never been drill-tested or systematically explored.
Triex also holds interests in diamond properties in the Northwest Territories.
