Trillion drilling Zimbabwe deposit

A 50,000-ft. drill program has begun at Trillion Resources’ (TSE) 50%-owned Jena Mines complex in Zimbabwe.

The objective is to develop new gold reserves on strike with the currently producing Stump, Leopardess, Lioness and Termite mines. Drilling will also be carried out on nine other former producers on the 15-sq.-mile property. In addition to the surface program, Trillion has planned a 30,000-ft. underground program to explore beneath, and parallel to, producing zones in the Lioness, Leopardess and Termite mines. Development drilling is under way at the Stump mine.

Gold production at Jena will be increased to 2,200 oz. per month as the recently completed mill expansion is phased in. The minable reserve now stands at about 200,000 recoverable oz., adequate for an 8-year mine life. The deepest mining to date at Jena has been to the 660-ft. level and all the mines are open to depth and along strike.
