Continued surface exploration and test milling of a 500-ton bulk sample is reported by Western Troy Capital (ASE).
The company’s property is in Menary Twp. in northwestern Ontario. Examination of the 182 claims staked last winter has disclosed seven new gold showings, adding to the two discovered last year, the company said. To date, ball-milling of about 90 tons of rock has yielded 60 oz. gold. The mill is at the Wagg showing.
Of the new showings, the Dillman A and B are on strike with one another and have widths of 4-18 in. A total of 15 samples (vein only) from the former returned 1.16 oz. gold per ton; the same number of samples from the latter (vein only) returned 0.6 oz.
A 3-ft. shear zone, 1.6 miles south of the Dillman A and B, contains 10% pyrite and minor quartz. Values for 28 samples range from nil to 1.58 oz. Three other exposures were discovered close to the original gold showing on the property. All are on strike with one another and appear to be related. Values from 57 samples averaged 0.26-0.35 oz. Individual values ranged from nil to 2.99 oz.
One more showing has yet to be stripped and sampled. Work will continue on test milling.
