True North Gems (TGX-V) has donated two emerald necklaces to charities in British Columbia.

One emerald necklace was auctioned at the B.C. Children’s Foundation Annual Fundraiser, The Crystal Ball, in December. The necklace fetched $11,111.11, and the money went to the foundation, which is associated with the B.C. Children’s Hospital.

A second emerald necklace was donated for auction at the Cambridge House Gala, held in conjunction with the Mineral Exploration Roundup in Vancouver in late January. The winning bid for the second necklace was $4,000. Proceeds from the auction were donated to the B.C. Alpine Ski Association.

The emeralds in the jewelry were obtained from bulk samples taken from True North Gems’ Tsa da Glisza emerald property in the Yukon. Each necklace contained more than three total carats of melee-size stones. The necklaces were designed in-house by the Vancouver-based junior.

In addition to its Tsa da Glisza emerald property, it owns rights to earn a 100% interest in the Beluga sapphire property on Baffin Island, and the Fiskenaesset ruby property in Greenland.
