Two drills are working at the Weedy Lake property, northeast of La Ronge, Sask.
Operator Tyler Resources (TSE) and Golden Rule Resources (TSE) have budgeted $572,000 for 5,545 metres of drilling.
Previous work on the property’s Golden Heart deposit outlined a preliminary resource of 687,000 tonnes grading 10.3 grams gold per tonne, or a total of 227,000 oz. gold. The deposit is open along strike and downdip, and Tyler will be testing possible extensions of the mineralized body. The company is also testing other targets for mineralization in en echelon zones around the known deposit.
Cameco (TSE), with a 20% interest in the property, elected not to fund its part of the program, and will allow its interest to be diluted to 16%. Tyler’s stake will remain at 50% and Golden Rule’s will rise to 34%.
