Unlisted Trading (January 27, 1992)

Trading heavily for the second consecutive week, Blake River Explorations says it has located six new zinc occurrences on its Slave Lake zinc property in Sheffield Twp., Ont. Anomalous soil samples range from 31-2342 parts per million zinc.

Blake River closed unchanged at 60 cents for the week ended Jan. 21. Western Troy Capital Resources plans to start drilling the Menary Twp. gold property near Kenora, Ont., in February. Recent stripping on the property revealed a 1-6.5-ft. wide, gold-bearing quartz vein stretching for 400 ft. along strike. A total of 74 grab, chip and composite samples from the showing had an average grade of 1.4 oz. gold per ton.

Western gained 15 cents to $1.05.

The new chairman of Teddy Bear Valley Mines has sold 105,000 Teddy Bear shares to Canadex Resources, a trucking company under his management. Canadex now owns 11.7% of the junior explorer.

Teddy Bear, which is currently trying to reverse a 1984 reorganization of its shares, was $1.50 bid, $2 ask.

Trading 425,700 shares, Mountain Beaver Resources closed unchanged at 55 cents. The company is drilling its Figuery project near Amos, Que., to test for extensions of the property’s zinc-copper-silver deposit.
