Val d’Or option deal

An option to earn a 50% interest in 22 claims adjacent to the Bardome zinc deposits in Quebec’s Barraute and Fiedmont twps., has been acquired by Ressources Val d’Or (ME) from Noranda (TSE). To earn its interest, Val d’Or has agreed to spend a minimum of $25,000 on the claims by Sept. 1, and an additional $475,000 by March 1, 1993. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.

The claims are in Barraute and Fiedmont twps., along strike from the Vendome base metal deposit which hosts reserves of 542,000 tons grading 7.9% zinc, 0.46% copper, 0.29% lead and 0.035 oz. gold per ton.
