Vault drops plan on Mali gold bet (February 09, 1987)

Vault Explorations has dropped plans to acquire a 48% interest in a gold concession in Mali. The company’s stock was halted by the superintendent of brokers office Jan 9, and it was asked to provide detailed information on the proposed acquisition.

In a prepared statement, President Maurice Hamelin said the owner of the concession, Mali American Mines, was unable to provide such information in a timely fashion so Vault decided to terminate negotiations. But he confirms the company is proceeding with the acquisition of Sun Entertainment Corp. which was announced in mid-December.
