Armed with high-grade drill results from its main Hot Springs Range project in Nevada and a technical team with a strong track record, Eminent Gold (TSXV: EMNT; US-OTC: EMGDF) says drilling this year could make a major discovery.

Chief geologist Dan McCoy was with Keegan Resources when he discovered the 5-million-oz. Esaase deposit in Ghana that Galiano Gold (TSX: GAU; NYSE: GAU) went on to mine, Eminent CEO Paul Sun says in a new video

“If you were a shareholder of Keegan during that discovery, you would’ve made 18 times your money,” Sun said this month during the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference. “We hope Dan’s going to do it again in Nevada for us.”

McCoy also helped find the high-grade El Barqueño deposit in Mexico under Cayden Resources, which Agnico Eagle Mines (TSX: AEM; NYSE: AEM) acquired in 2014.

Eminent plans to analyze 300 metres of assays from drilling last year at Hot Springs Range and start a 10,000-metre program for which it might increase the depth.
