Walton visits Poland for tailings project (December 18, 1989)

Walton is a managing partner of Endeavour Capital, which was retained by International Coast to advise the company on the operational and financial aspects of the joint venture.

The delegation met with officials of KGHM, the Polish state mining authority, to discuss a preliminary feasibility study by Wright Engineers on the tailings project.

KGHM is the leading primary copper producer in Europe and its five tailing ponds are estimated to contain 370 million tons of material. According to the study, the average grade in one of the five ponds was 0.218% copper and 0.21 oz silver.

After reviewing the positive preliminary study, KGHM approved of the Vancouver-based junior’s plans for a final feasibility study.
