Komatsu Canada (Mississauga, Ont., and Richmond, B.C.) has added four new wheel loaders to its existing line of small-size loaders. The new units have capacities of 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.1 cu m. All models are powered by Komatsu diesels ranging in size from 63 kW to 112 kW.
Smooth speed and direction changes on the three smaller models are achieved through light touch column-mounted controls, while the 2.1-cu-m unit features an electrically controlled transmission that makes gear changing as easy as flicking a turn signal.
