Work stoppage ends at Don Mario

Vancouver Unionized workers are back at work at the Don Mario gold mine in eastern Bolivia.

Mine operator Orvana Minerals (ORV-T) and the union representing mine employees negotiated a one-year settlement described as being on par with similar agreements reached in the Bolivian mining industry this year. The mine is expected to reach normal production levels within a matter of days.

The Don Mario mine produced 17,345 oz. gold in the first three months of this year, with production coming from both open-pit and underground resources.
