Yorbeau at Astoria

Yorbeau Resources (YRB.A-T) has cut gold at depth along the Larder Lake break, a few kilometres south of Rouyn-Noranda, Que.

Two holes have cut significant gold, including 2.54 grams gold over 10.7 metres at a vertical depth of 171 metres in hole 390; and 2.84 grams gold over 4.1 metres at a vertical depth of 250 metres in hole 397. These holes were both drilled on the same section near the eastern limit of the Cinderella block, which covers 1.7-km of the Larder Lake break.

The gold values are said to be confined to a stratigraphic horizon south of the carbonate rocks along the break.

Two more holes will test this zone about 60 metres on either side of the section and at a 300-metre depth.

Yorbeau drilled six other holes near the western limit of the block, about 1 km to the west.

The area had seen limited drilling previously, but these holes were relatively shallow and Yorbeau believes there remains good potential at depth. The company owns claims straddling 12 km of the Larder Lake break.
