Montanore permitting gets schedule (May 10, 2005)

The United States Forest Service and Montana state officials have set out a timeline for permitting of the Montanore silver-copper project in northwestern Montana, allowing 14 months for approvals.

Owner Mines Management (MGN-X) wants to put the former producing mine back into production shortly after the process finishes in July 2006. It recently hired consulting firm Hatch to provide a final feasibility study for the project.

The company already has letters of understanding with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and the Forest Service on their requirements for pre-production impact studies.
