NEWS ROUNDUP — Republic finds zone in Cuba

A previously unrecognized volcanic basin has been found on the Purial mineral concession in eastern Cuba.

Republic Goldfields (VSE) reports that the basin measures 22 by 19 miles and hosts at least seven areas with base metal mineralization and associated gold and silver values.

The most significant occurrence found is the Eleccion deposit, which contains 10 million tons grading 1.07% copper and 0.92 oz. silver per ton. Work is continuing.
